Need help...TZ25da Hydraulic fluid question...

I just changed the O-ring and wiper on the three point lift cylinder on my TZ25DA. What a pain...(I have a cab). I want to change the hydraulic fluid and filters now... It also runs the hydro. Without buying NH fluid, what can I use??? Is there a synthetic I could use? At 50 hours I switched the engine to Rotella synthetic and am glad I did. thanks for all replies.

When I did my 300 hr service on my 1620 it called for a fluid change on the hydro trans/hydraulics. I read a lot of posts to read what people did and chose to put the Tractor Supply (TSC) Universal Hydro fluid in as it meets the ford/new holland specifications. However I noticed a lot of low speed groaning while the fluid was warming up. And when it was cold out (20 degrees F and below) the hydro pedal was sluggish to return and there was more low speed groaning/whining. It just didn't seem right and I did not want to have to worry about the HST trans, so I switched back to the New Holland fluid and the issue went away. $70 is for a 5 gallon pail of the New Holland fluid seemed a lot cheaper then risking my trans. But, who knows.....

I thought it would be more expensive that that. I am going to put the NH oil in. Thanks for the reply.

NH oil was $52 for 5 gallons a couple of years ago at my local dealership.

I bought the fluid. $80 for 5 gallons. Not too bad. BUT...what made me cry was that little trans filter....$32.....and no, it doesn't cross to a Napa number
