Having problems starting my 861D can't explain why. One day is was starting and operating just fine and then for no apparent reason it won't start. I have confirmed I have good fuel flow from the tank to the filter. I replaced the filter as well. I opened the drain screw on the bottom of the filter housing and fuel flowed as expected. I opened the bleeder screw on top of the fuel filter cap to let air escape. I also cracked open each one of the injector lines and until I saw fuel coming out of each line and re-tightened. I did not loosen the banjo bolts on the injector pump.
I'm not sure if the starter relay is bad or not. But after a few minutes of constant turn-over of the engine the positive cable will get really hot and some smoke will come from the positive side of the relay. Not sure if it will help but tomorrow I will replace the starter relay.
I will also buy a spray can of ether based starting fluid, if I can find some hoping that may help.
It has a Roosa injector pump, does it have a bleeder screw? If so, I can't locate it and I can't locate a diagram that even references a bleeder screw.
If anyone has any suggestion I would appreciate it.
