I'm trying to get the driveline off of a Razorback bush hog. I took the nut off the yoke. The bolt just spins freely but won't come out. What am I missing here.
If you look carefully just inside the yoke is a snap ring. This prevents the drive shaft from coming loose even if you break the shear bolt. Remove the snap ring and everything should come apart easily.
A ridge has formed on the bolt. Or the hole on the yolk & the hole on the shaft are slightly misaligned. Prevents easy removal. Hammer & punch - drive it out. You probably will need a new bolt when reassembling.

Yep, shear bolt is probably S shaped.
It does also have a snap ring as Roadworthy pointed out. You will have to drive the yoke towards the gearbox to get at that before trying to pull it off.
