A local dealer priced me a new M5040DT 4WD R-1 tires open station for $20,400 0% 42 months. Is he giving me a fair price or should I check around some more??? Is it worth paying $1,000 more for the Hydraulic reverser?? I would appreciate any help. Thanks

I assume that's without an FEL. Doesn't seem too bad.

Recently I was quoted about $27.8K on an M5040 with hydro-reverser, FEL, dual rear remotes, filled rears, bucket hooks, low exhaust and a block heater. Too salty for me. The hydro-reverse model had been on the lot for awhile, haven't seen any mechanical reverse Mxx40s yet.

Adding the FEL and options to your quote would've been in the ballpark for me.

The hydro-reverse and the wet clutch that goes with it would be a big plus if you plan to do a lot of FEL work. If you're not getting the FEL, you probably don't need it.

I just got M7040 cab, hydraulic reverser, 2 rear remotes, air ride, radio with weather band and cd filled tires, delivered to my door for 36,000. Yes I had an m6800 with the manual shuttle, go with the hydraulic it is 10 times better.

I just got the 6040 4x4, hydro-shuttle,R4 tires, FEL, and open station. I paid 28200 for it with the 42 month 0% fin. Personally I wouldn't buy a tractor without a FEL once you have one you wouldn't ever go without one. I think there is about 1500 difference between the models ie 5040, 6040, 7040.
