Bought this cutter after looking at several over time. Seems to be solid, gear box spins freely, stump jumper. Couple holes in the deck which I can weld up, a new or repaired PTO shaft and some new gear box lube and I think it will serve me well for years.

Obviously a Bush Hog brand based upon the remains of the labels on the sides and the data plate. Unfortunately, the data plate is blank where the model and serial numbers should be.

The PTO shaft on the deck did not come with the unit, I'm hoping I can use it to power the mower.

I've reached out to the Bush Hog corporation, but have not heard back. I've also looked through all of their discontinued parts/owners manuals and could not locate a square backed model such as this one. Google searches for similar models have come up empty as well.

I took the pictures hoping someone would be able to identify.

Thanks in advance for any clues.

Ray

After some more Googling, I think it may be a model 104 or 105.

Can anyone confirm?

Its a bush hog rebel that's what the stickers on the side used to say and it had the razorback bush hog trademark boar picture i believe also. Look up Bush Hog RB60S at German Bliss Online Parts Dealer | Bush Hog, Befco, Gehl, More and that's your parts list. We have one and it should have been manufactured around 1975-1980 roughly. The model we have has a very heavy duty chain extending from the top link to the tail wheel and is 5' wide. From experience i can tell you they are tough and after 40 years or so i've seen it chew just about anything you could fit under it within reason up and spit it out. Grease shear pins and stored inside still looks pretty good too. this should help you

nwut05 you were spot on.

I exchanged several emails with Bush Hog customer support (very helpful BTW) and they confirmed it to be a RB60R. They were able to provide me with both the owners manual and parts manual (attached to this post).

They also provided the owners and parts manual covering the 104 & 105. If anyone needs them send me a PM.

Thanks for the quick response.

I got a bush hog that came with my TC45D. After a little research I narrowed it down to a bush hog rebel RB60... but I’m not sure if it’s an RB60R or RB60S?

Mine has the bush hog rebel stickers on the sides, I’m not sure if rebel means it’s the RB60”R” ? I’m trying to order some parts for it and don’t want to order parts for the wrong model.

@graywarrant Where did you find that Data plate on your bush hog? I can’t seem to locate one on mine. (Edit: I found it in your 4th pic, thank you for the pics! My data plate is definitely missing)

Would the “S” in RB60S stand for slip clutch?

Or maybe "single tail wheel?" Not aware of 5-footers with dual tail wheels, but also not aware of light-duty 5-footers using slip clutches.

I just emailed Bush Hog about this, hopefully they will be able to tell me the difference between a RB60R and RB60S
