I have a Bush Hog 2515 that has a broken inner yoke and CV and need a replacement driveline for it. I tried ordering a female half shaft (tractor to male portion that connects to gearbox), but my current one is rectangular 4 spline in which everyone is saying they have never seen so it looks like I just need to buy a 6 spline 1-3/8 (tractor end) to 20 spline 1 - 3/4 (Bush Hog end) as a replacement. I see one on messick for $1,600 but it also has a replacement one for around $2,400. AgriSupply has one for $800, but I suspect there is a reason why it is 1/3-1/2 the price. Any feedback on where the best place to purchase is, please let me know. They want $3,200 locally and I am waiting on a machine shop to give me a quote, but can't get back in touch with them.

I have several odds and ends driveshafts that came off batwings, that I will probably never use. They were part of a pallet of stuff I bought at an auction. Stashed back in the corner, darn near impossible to get to. PLus we are coming to NW LA tomorrow. However, driving "her" car because my truck is in the shop.
I will be making another trip as soon as my truck gets out, so may even be able to bring them closer, as in Pleasant Hill, La.

That is a Bondioli Pavesi SFT series shaft. Not all dealers are competent at identifying PTO shafts. If you see one pull out a tape measure to determine the cross and bearing RUN as they need to be using a caliper.
In the link below it will give you measurements that you can use to ID the series.
Once you know the series then you can use the link below to find the part numbers you need.

I know A&I is one of the largest distributors of Bondioli Pavesi in the USA. Every JD dealer is a A&I dealer so they can help you then. Weasler offers some replacement components as well and they are USA made. If you need more assistance reply with the measurements of the OD of the tube and cross and bearing dimensions (using a caliper to the thousandth) and I will see what I can do.

I really like Maugansville in Hagerstown, MD. They are experts with PTO drivelines, overrunning clutches, CV joints, etc. and turn their repairs/rebuilds around quickly.
I’ve been to their shop a few times and it’s clean and expertly run. Anything AG driveline. The dealers in the area turn to them for a lot of work.

Try them. I bet they’ll get you back in business quick.

So far I've only been able to identify these as potential replacements. Since I can't see any in person, I'm leaning toward the Weasler on Amazon since it would likely be the easiest to return if it isn't as described. However, drivelines are one thing I've never worked on.

I'm scared this one is a case of too good to be true

I have bought a lot of stuff from Agri-Supply and a lot of the stuff is imported, but I haven't seen them sell any junk, it's been of good quality, the biggest problem that I have seen is their shipping rates are usually really high, so I just make the 1&1/2 hour drive to the closest one if I need something from them.

My local dealers usually have a good selection of pto parts and pieces.
Also I have used these people to get hard to find pieces;
Bare Co USA - US DRIVE SHAFT INDEX
the bottom of the page above has your type of pto shafting.

I must be really missing something here. A complete drive shaft ( series 4 or 5, don't remember ) for my Wallenstein chipper is only $420 or so.

What makes that Bush Hog drive shaft so much more expensive.

The driveline that Op is looking for is a CV and it is significantly larger than a series 4 or 5 is only rated to 45 hp (4) or 65 hp (5) Ops is rated 122 hp.
