Yanmar ym240
I'm new to this so please bare with me.
I have an older Yanmar ym240 that has turf tires on it and would like to switch to ag tires. I can not seem to find any available. Any advice on where to go to find the rims and tires I am looking for would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to TBN and the forum, Joe. Things to consider - if your Yanmar is 4WD then the match between the front/rear tires will be critical. I would contact you friendly Yanmar dealer for his recommendations if its 4WD.

Othwise - I get my vehicle and tractor tires from our local Les Schwab tire store.

It is a 2WD and I would need new rims also. From what I have been finding they do not make an AG tire that fits the turf rim size I currently have. Do you know if the bolt pattern from a ym2700 would be the same as my ym240? I have found a set for sale on eBay.

Take oosik's advice. See a Yanmar dealer. You may also have to change rims sizes also when switching from turf to ag tires, just like switching from R4s. to R1s.

You don't have to purchase them there, but you will know what you need to make the switch.

Edit: Your posted another comment while I was typing. I see you already know you have to switch rim sizes also.

It appears that 9.5 x 24 R1s would be the size tire you need.

Perfect thanks. Now where could I find them? Or where is the nearest dealership to MN? I have been striking out on any search I try.

I buy mine from a local dealer, but if you do not have any, you could try Miller or Gemplers.

All States Tractor Parts probably have the rims, and used tires.

I really appreciate all the help. I will give it a look. Would your local dealer ship to MN?

I had to switch to Ag tires from R-4's to line up with our row sizes. A refreshing change from the digital age was Hey Wheel Company in Nebraska. I called ordered and they shipped the wheels then sent me a bill in the mail. I bought the tires locally.

Was that model Yanmar ever badged as a John Deere? If not, was it similar to something that was? That'd make finding the whole pretty easy. Not necessarily cheap, but JD should be able to get them to you.

Millertire.com is where I got a set of 33/12.5/r15 R1 ag tires to replace my turf tires and did not have to buy new rims
