Need a ride on which can handle slopes

Hi Im in Australia and cant get all the same brands, we would like to stay with our marvellous dealer who gave us our money back after 21 hrs of extensive trouble with a cub cadet 1042. Toro is a brand they stock. We don't want to spend much more over here in our money the 1042 was $4440. This is really not budget the yardmans and yard machines are over here about 2500 and up - so we thought we were spending good money for a good machine.
What would you guys suggest I could get to last a long time. Our property is 25 to 30 degrees incline.
What should I look for hp wise and drive wise etc etc etc.
Dont want to buy another lemon - /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have a yardworks (MTD) it 's a twin cyclinder 25 hp 54" deck.
It has high and low range HST. I mow approx 5 acres. I do it in two shifts, usually 3 hrs per shift. I have 180 hours on it - 3 years old.
Never had an issue starting...replaced blades...large field stones...ouch!

I can haul 1/2 cord of firewood with it. I do have some areas with slope but i drive up and down rather than sideways along the slope.

It retailed in Canada for just under $5000. I bought it on sale for under $3000. It has a 4 year warranty.

Good luck with your purchase. This machine has a lot of accessories too.

The first thing I would do is stick with that dealer. Cub Cadet has a pretty good history, especially in the lawn mower class machines. Have you looked a different model or perhaps one of the ZTR (zero turn radius) models?

For your slopes you want something with a low center of gravity and a low seating position. What does the dealer suggest?
