Need a large bearing seal driver.

I'm replacing a bevel gear seal again and AGAIN I'm running into the problem where I need about 1/64" clearance to get that snap ring installed. I don't know what's holding it up except possibly the seal isn't completely seated. It's about 3 15'16' or 100mm. Nobody seems to make them that large at HF or auto part stores. Anyone have an idea?

Fake it... How about a section of PVC pipe ..... If a bit to big, slot it and close it up with hose clamp....

If you have a buddy that has a lathe, or a small shop near you, you could have them turn you a puck to nearly exacting size.

All these are helpful suggestions. In the event that you find out it’s completely bottomed out, you may need to Mic it and see if the new seal may not be precise. You just never know what’s around the corner so try and not get complacent. It easy to do sir.

As this is my 3rd seal replacement on two different tractors I really need more ballast. I have my rear tires loaded but it's obviously not enough to compensate for the large logs I move. Have any of you purchased the Vevor or Temu boxes? For $133 it would save me a lot of time over building my own.

Did that when I replaced the fork seals on the Voyager I used to own as I refused to pay the ridiculous price for a one time use seal driver.

I have a 4" hole saw that has a body diameter of 3 15/16".

The teeth are faired outward slightly to make a 4" hole. I've used it upside down with a block of wood covering the teeth a couple of times to seat large seals & bearings.

I got it with a dust collector union. It was almost a perfect match but worked fine. Thanks all. Now onto the counterweight search.
