I have used their filters (WIX Made) for years on my tractor, but never their oil. Napa oil is on sale this month $1.99 qt. Rumor has it that it is Valvoline in a Napa bottle ? Would you put this in your tractor ?

Please buy another Mahindra 4110, replace the oil in your current tractor with this Napa oil and put Shell Rotella in the new one. Run them both hard for 10 or 15 years... then get back to us on whether you found any difference. Thanks!

Is it CI rated?

If it meets specs it's fine. My Ex Father In Law worked for Pennzoil then Shell. His old joke for SAE rating was SAE stood for Same As Everyone. He's right. Say Rotella and the Napa oil both meet SAE 15W40 CJ4+ rating they both meet the same mini spec.

The NAPA oil on sale for $1.99/quart-limit 12 quarts-is rated SN,gasoline engines only!
It is supplied by Ashland Oil who also markets Valvoline, although it is most likely not the same formula as the white bottle Valvoline.
It's the same "spec"oil sold by AutoValue,Bumper to Bumper,etc.
Perfectly acceptable for your car, please don't use this in your tractor.
Good Luck!

I'll do that just for you. But first you can beam me up "scotty" so we can talk about that bridge I want to sell you :confused2:

Long as it's rated with the proper rating for your engine.

They just contract out and buy from a major-- probably Exxon, Shell or Mobil -- including additives. Some, like Castrol used to do this, but they'd buy the base oil and put their own additive pack in it. When I worked for Exxon, we sold Castrol a whole bunch of base oil.

Nothing wrong with Napa oil, My truck is about to hit 200,000 miles. 12 years later. No oil consumption of any kind. It is bottled by Ashland oil. Not sure what else to say aside from use it and abuse it. :drink:

But don't buy the 'S' rated gas oil.. get a 'C' rated oil.

At my the contractor we work for, we have went thru thousands of gallons of napa oils over the last couple decades..

At my home farm, i have used napa, walmart, car quest, tsc, rural king.. every off brand you can find.. coastal.. kendal.. etc..e tc.

I've yet to see anything attributed to a lube failure from heavey equipment to automobiles.

Buy correct spec oil, change on correct usage schedule by miles, usage type or oil anyl.

For severe duty stuff, I spring for better oil, but that's just a couple special cases..
