here is a few mods i did on my XG3025 , i run a quick hitch and i modified it so you dont have to shim any of your 7/8 pins on your attachments to work , i rolled a 1/4 X 1 strap around a 1 inch bar then welded it into the QH so my 7/8 pins are snug with very little play . I bought the QH from Harbour Freight printed out a coupon on my printer and i think it cost around 84.00 with tax .
another mod i did was use a 7 inch OD pvc pipe X 12 long mounted on 1/4 steel plate
to carry my chains and gloves , and a grease gun when needed , and a slide out made out of 4 inch
pvc pipe to carry nylon straps etc.. when needed .
another mod is i use 2 tool boxes one on the side for hammers , fence pliers etc..
and the back one i keep all pins and added a backup light toggle switch off of the side of that box .
and a 9 inch convex mirror to see behind me .
another mod i did was my Canopy , I used a fiberglass bed cover for a 6 ft bed Chevy
it was cracked and my soninlaw was going to throw it in a junk pile for the dump ,, since
I'm a Fabricator / Machinest and welder by trade i told him i will take it home and some day i may have
a need for it ,, it worked out great for the Canopy . I used a old twin bed frame rails and 2 inch exhaust pipe
to make my mounts for the canopy , it just slides into the pipe and can be removed by a winch , on the Fan i used
a electric fan off one of my old work cars that died on me and are parts cars now ,, the Fan works great in 90 % temps when out mowing . i used 1 inch od pvc pipe 4 inch long and 3/8 carrage bolts to mount the fan and at 5' 8"I'm albe to stand up with the seat folded and not hit my head on the fan ,, the fan mod is really worth doing for any canopy .. I did wire it through a relay though , and at the same time as the fan i installed a 12 volt air horn to the tractor aswell .
on my bucket i welded 15K D-loops to 6X6 plate then welded the plates to the bucket
i prefer them over 3/8 hooks , I did weld 3/8 hooks on my Quick Hitch though.
well thats about it for know will post back with some mods i did to all of the attachments
that i bought off of Craigslist and FB Market place . as this tractor was a replacement for
one of my Bobcats and i build / modify preety much all of my attachments as needed .
