My tractor's new ride

After searching used trailers for over 2 months, I finally decided to buy new and brought it home today. 24 foot +5 foot dovetail, 22,500 pound dual tandem Top Hat trailer. It has so many neat features, I am still finding something extra. I upgraded from my 20 foot, 14,000 pound trailer because with a grapple and loader bucket, I was out of room and overweight. Don't know if I will sale the 20 footer. I might keep it for a "lite weight" trailer.

I really need to do the same thing. It doesn't happen often, but if I need to move my JD tractor and baler, it won't fit on my trailer. Even if it did, it would be grossly overloaded and probably just blow out tires.
Actually, the JD, with the FEL, weighs about 10,000 by itself. So, my 20' + 5' single tandem is pretty much maxed out on weight with just that tractor.

BTW, keep the smaller trailer. It will come in handy. If you sell it, you'll probably regret it.
Don't know about your side of the river, but over here, we can get a "permanent" trailer plate for $70. So, even when I buy a bigger trailer, I'll still keep my old one. It cost me nothing to hang onto it.

Nope, not just a girl thing. A local man had his new trailer custom painted a distinct shade of green.
