My "Super Duper" Drag

No. It's very, VERY GOOD at smoothing out the ground, but it's terrible for changing the shape of the ground. I spread dirt with my dozer and get it close, but then I use the drag to smooth it all out so it looks perfect. I also like to use the drag to smooth out my existing roads. What happens is I that I create ruts after it rains. I can pull the drag over the ruts and you never know they are there.

When I built it, I thought that I could unscrew the nuts on the bolts that hold the bar on top that holds the blocks in place. That rusted together in a few months and if I want to remove any blocks, I will have to remove the bolt and weld something else on.

I've found that my 35hp 4x4 tractor will pull it easily if it's dry out, but if it's wet, too much dirt builds up and it becomes too heavy. I can pull it in any condition with my 80 hp 2 wheel drive backhoe, and tend to use it for this most of the time.

Hope this helps,
Eddie
