Read the forums, bought the hype on the new Husqvarna GT48DXLS. Wanted the most heavy duty for the price, and this seemed to be the one. I tracked one down, semi-close by and bought it. My dad has a yth22v46 (lowes deal). I've worked on it a little here and there and have repaired Husqvarna chainsaws. The build quality is acceptable to me. That said, my dad's mower leaves a little to be desired, so I stepped it up to a beefier machine.
Just finished mowing, and I guess I should have listened a little better to the people who said the discharge was tremendous. I have a limestone driveway and a few pieces have made their way into my lawn. The GT48 must have thrown a piece through my truck window. Hopefully I'm able to attach the photo.
Never occurred to me that this might happen, because it never has using using the yth22v46. This was my first mow with the gt48dxls. Love the mower, wish I was smarter. Lesson learned.
