My new CK 30

Wow, thanks MouseField. I guess that shows that I'm guilty of not reading my manual thoroughly enough. This also may explain the bearing that blew though the rear diff of my JD 955 (and resulted in my new CK30). The temp was -35 C or so. I let it warm up for a few minutes, but not 溺ore than 20 minutes as the page you attached suggested. I went from low to high gear and 5 minutes later I had a hydraulic fluid lake on my rink.
In my neck of the woods, there have been days with the wind chill below -50 C. I had no idea the warm up time would be anywhere near that long. I look forward to the dash out to the tractor in a tee shirt and slippers to start it when it痴 -40 C with the wind!

Maybe in winter time, you should think about using an engine block heater and maybe a blanket. That way when you go to use the tractor the oil and radiator are already warmed up and you have little or no waiting.

Just a thought. ;)

My tractor came with a block heater, another one of the bonuses for going with Bromely. I did install a block heater on the 955, which is the only reason it actually started that day, but you still need to warm up the hydraulic system. Until MouseField posted that chart, I had no idea it needed to be warmed up that long.

If you put a blanket heater on the tranny, that will heat the metal which heats the oil so that then your oil is also warmed up.

I finally got around to taking a video of the issue. This problem is getting worse, haven't heard anything about the new HST unit, hopefully soon.

Kioti CK30 HST issue - YouTube

I watched the video. You seemed to be in mid range. Was that level
ground? Did it also do that in reverse?

The damper cylinder is very accessible and not hard to disconnect. It
seems that it is worthwhile trying that while you wait for the dealer to
respond.

Yup, that was mid range. The problem is there in low range as well, I can't say I've ever tried in high. The ground was level at the begining of the video and starting to go down a little by the end. The tractor will coast up a hill just as easily though.

I hear what you're saying about the damper cylinder but I have 3 kids under 4yrs, so seat time can be hard enough as it is. My wife would probably make the HST issue the least of my worries if I started tinkering with the tractor (big reason I sold my last tractor and bought brand new). The dealer also seems to be convince they know exactly what the problem is and they're just waiting for parts.

Well, my dealer and I finally got together on a time to repair my tractor. The new HST unit arrived at the dealer a few months ago and they seemed to put it off for about a month (which didn't really bother me). When they did get back to me to arrange to pick the tractor up, I was in the middle of a project and didn't want to give it up. Then came deer hunting season...

By the time they took the tractor, it had 90 hrs on it and the problem had gotten MUCH worse. The pedal was basically fixed in whatever forward position you left it and the only way to stop it was to push back on the pedal.

I've had about 2 hours seat time since I got it back on Friday. It's once again working the way that it should, the way it did when it was new.

Now that the weather is cooling down (the high today is -3C), I've started warming the tractor up for 10 - 20 minutes before moving it and I only move it with the RPM's around 2500. I have no idea if either of these could contribute to the problem, but I don't want this issue to come back in the future, especially after the warrantee period.

FWIW, I'm not sure you really need to rev it at 2500 all the time- you could probably ease it down to around 2000 and still have good results when not 'working' an implement.

Only moving the tractor at 2500 RPM didn't last long, I'm now anywhere over 2000 RPM, usually around 2200 as in the video.

I now have a hydraulic leak that appears to be from the seal where the two halves of the tractor bolt together. Looks like their going to have to spit it again, only this time they'll have to remove the cab first. Since this has become my spot to list all my issues, my temp gauge also stopped working, cab heater blows hot but even after working for over an hour around 2200 RPM, still doesn't even register on the gauge. Tractor now has 107 hours at least 10 of which is from the dealer fixing it

If you want to hear me whine about all the issues I'm having with my new cab, here you go: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kioti-owning-operating/230081-new-comfort-cab-ck30-review.html

Now have a coolant leak :mur:. Appears only to be coming from a hose clamp near the rad so it's probably no big deal. Dealer saw it and tried tightening it, I'm keeping an eye on it. Just posting it to keep it all in one place in case one day I want a full list of issues I've had
