Just delivered today!

2010 3038E w/305 FEL, a Frontier RC2060 5' rotary cutter, and a Frontier BB2060 5' box blade.

Primary use (at least initially) is to try to bring some (about 10 acres) neglected pasture back into productive use, & clean up routes through another 10 acres of wood lot.

I got out & spent an hour or so trying it out. Works great, never bogs down. The HST make maneuvering very simple, especially with 4WD & power steering.

Here's a link to a video of a rather meandering path while playing around...

Congrats on the new wheels & accessories! Would imagine it's very similar in size to my Kubota L3830. You'll have a blast clearning up that acreage. I need all the help my unit provides for my 30+ acres, being an older fart...

I spent another 3 or 4 hours with it this afternoon getting deeper into the thickets. At some points I was flattening 1" - 1.5" thick or so saplings, 12'-16' tall, arrayed across the full width of the FEL. Heck, at times they'd be lifting the front wheels to the point they couldn't steer. Horrindous noises from the cutter at times, but nothing bent or broken yet.

I've taken care of most of the bramble/blackberry jungle - those canes were as high as the top of the ROP!

I had to stop a couple of times when the temp lamp lit. The fluff coming off some of the weeds was totally covering the radiator grill screen (both outer & inner) with a coating like lint buildup in a dryer. No problem to clear off, then just restart & run at high idle to get the air moving through the fins again.

I've been very impressed with what this setup is letting me get done!

Read your manual to confirm, but you might not want to shut the engine off when cleaning the grill. Shutting down can result in the engine being a "heat sink".

I know exactly what you mean when describing that lint" build up.

your set up looks good. I was wondering how you liked your chopper? how does it cut? how does it handle the five foot mower? Do you have any video of cutting the heavier stuff? I was curious on what the after cut looked like?

Great video! Great set up!
