Well I picked up a GC2300 a few months ago with FEL, and MMM. I was still in need of something to move the snow with. The OEM price of $2100 or so for a Massey plow was out. After looking around and finding this on youtube.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlgU_xPH67c I decided that this could work. I was able to find a 4 way blade for $200 from craigslist. after getting it home the next problem was coming up with a mount. John Deere built all of their mounts into the frames of the tractors this plow mounted to. Not wanting to re-invent the wheel I decided to find a frame with the mounts and use that. I was able to find a almost perfect donor in a JD 318 frame for $20 also from Craigslist. This frame seems to be a great fit others may also work but this was simple cut the frame flush and drill a few holes. The only modification to the plow was to extend the cutting edge. The frame on my GC sits too high for the plow to sit level. I added a 5 inch wear edge and it got it up the the right height. A few fittings and hoses and I am in business. Ready for old man winter in New England. Total invested with Blade frame, hoses, fittings and steel for cutting edge is about $375.
The FEL just comes in and touches the front of the mount when it is in a negative position, so I will be taking this off in the summer, but will still be able to use the FEL to move piles in the winter with out much trouble.

John Deer 318 Frame before cutting off the excess frame.

Test Fit of Plow after the extended wear edge installed.

Hoses need to be zip tied and clean up.

Once I have time to tear this down and get rid of the Deere yellow paint I will post an update.
