How often does the Ice Breaker have to come through?

I assume thats a tidal river based on the ice shards in the first pic.

What's the tide change up there I know it's huge in your area... 15- 20 feet?

Regards,
Chris

No Ice breaker. Those are decommissioned ships. The tide at maximum may be about 2 meters as we are on the Atlantic side. The high one is on the other side on The Bay of Fundy.:D

Egon,

It looks painful!!!!

Where my family is from in Sask, they always have runnig pool on when the ice will melt on the river. I don't remember how they decide the actualy date, but it's pretty big news when that date is decided.

Thanks for the pictures, it's 42 degrees right now and dropping. We're expecting an ice storm tonight and a very small chance of snow. Gotta love Texas weather!!!!

Egon

Was there today. May drop in some time.
I was thinking with the a quick break-up in the spring you might experience an ice jam similar to a few years back. Here's hoping for a steady increase in temperature over the next few months with some rain to sloooowly melt the ice.

That jam from a few years ago was a little scary. I do have a few pictures somewhere.:D

Hey, Egon-- I guess I never noticed where you were from... a place my wife & I have always wanted to visit! (I understand there's some good fishing up there-- is that right?)

I have a pair of twin girls in my classes this year, who recently arrived from NS- I'll see if I can find where they're from- some small town, apparently. Nice country up there. Hoping to get up that way someday, WBB in NH

Not being an avid Fisherman I cannot answerer that question with any accuracy. But, come spring there are a lot of folks out fishing at almost every stream you drive by.

Right now there are Fishing Huts up in they Coves along the river.

During the summer some folks go out Ocean Fishing but I can't advise of the catches.:D

Come summer when sitting on The River Pub balcony it's always interesting watching a fellow pulling eel pots on the river.:D

A storm that's supposed to leave about 15 Cm of snow followed by rain is forecast as on the way. today and tomorrow.
