Tractor
Kioti CK3510HSE
So this week I signed my life away and bought a Kioti CK3510HST tractor with a loader, cab, two remotes, Woods 60"rototiller, Woods 60" bushhog style mower, 66" box blade, and I have a Baumalight 24" stump grinder on order. I don't own an acreage, farm or whatever but I likely will in a year or so. But the plan is to use it to start my own business. I still have to tackle getting a trailer to transport it with but that will come soon enough.

That is a very nice tractor and equipment. I got a 10 year old 22' tilt equipment trailer with two 8K axles that works well for us since a new one was about 3x more.

Thanks guys!

I've got a couple pending jobs lining up one is a septic field and the other is cleaning up and mowing an overgrown pasture. But these won't be happening for a little while. I'm suppose to get some quotes on insurance soon then I can start advertising officially.

Getting insurance lined up is good protection. My farm policy covers me helping others as long as I do not charge.

Yeah for what I want to do its less than what I thought it would be I tried out the rototiller a little bit on a piece of ground next to the house that was a bit low. I had filled in the spot with chunks of sod from digging in a new garden, the sod was full of heavy clay so I dug it out by hand and wheelbarrowed it to where I needed it. But we had some rain a few days ago so it hadn't dried out enough yet so hopefully in a few days I'll try again and flatten it with the loader. I also tried out the bushhog mower a little bit in a field behind our place I keep a strip there mowed with my push mower as a fire break as the builder that owns it is to cheap to do it themselves. But with the bushhog I'm a little less worried about hitting something and breaking the mower.

Won't you need a backhoe or a septic field?

When I mow overgrown areas I make a first pass with the mower about 6 inches above the normal mowing position because there may be all kinds of high spots or hard trash (like logs and cement blocks) hidden in the grass. Have some extra shear pins (typically a grade 5 bolt) on hand just in case.

Septic fields here are usually the sand mound type because of all the heavy clay we have here. I need a loader more for placing all the rock, sand, and loam. For the septic tank I'll need an excavator if its a deep burial tank backhoes for these tractors don't dig deep enough so an excavator of about 8 tonne or bigger is sufficient. Plus our frost line is 8 feet deep.
