Kuboto 4630 GST 2006
Well, Hi.
I've just bought a 2006 4630 GSTC (Cab), getting a FEL tomorrow and looking for advice about attaching a snow plow such that I can angle the blade.

I spent a day or two on the same tractor in the Summer, bush-hogging, and it certainly is comfortable!

Congrats, thats a nice machine. You can put a plow on the loader if it has universal Q A or you can put a kubota blade & subframe on. Both units function off the loader valve.

Thanks, I looked at other tractors with less horsepower, but pulling a 6ft "arena rake" with the L4630 (47hp) convinced me more was better.

Exposing my ignorance here, but the loader valve would do what? Raise and lower the plow blade (attached to the loader arm via QA) and the "tip bucket" function would angle the blade left or right?

Also, someone told me that a snow blower is great, but much slower than a plow.

I also have a L4630GSTC and have the quick mount subframe for the 72" front mount snowblower. I will get the 84" blade next. You have to take loader off for the winter and then controls will raise and lower frame and the curl function becomes the chute direction on blower or left/right angle on blade.

JGinVT, I just looked at the same tractor 20 minutes ago. It's got 300 hours, creep gear, bush hog brand loader with q/a, and rear hydraulics. The dealer wants 25k. He said originally he'd give 12k for my 95 l4200 gst (no cab) with fel, today he said 11k. How does 25k compare to your price up north? He kinda got me po'd changing the offer on my tractor-just business I guess . I'm pretty sure I could get it for 13k difference though. I'll let you know what happens.

just wrote the check. dealer's going through it. have it early next week. I'm sure that now I've got a cab, it'll never be cold, hot or dusty outside when I need to tractor again.

Tom

Ps no need for snow removal equipment here

I wouldn't bet on it. The only difference will be when its hot out you will be inside the cab freezing and when its cold out you will be inside the cab sweating.

truthfully, I can't wait until next summer ,so I can mow when it's 100. My beer won't even get dusty.

Thanks, what I needed to know. A dealer has just installed the FEL, a Kubota, not Woods, and I'm going to talk to the seller (who has a large machine shop and lots of "heavy iron") about plough options. Advice gratefully received. I want to be able to swap the bucket out with the blade without too much hassle, so I can move snow-piles after dozering them. Good to know the FEL controls will move a blade so easily, up and down and angle left and right. I guess the bucket cylinder is just mechanically linked to do that?

Anyway, a few more days until delivery, it's like Xmas come early. The best toys are ones you buy myself. I've felt that ever since my grandmother gave me a "toy" carpenter set for Xmas when I was 12!

Well, I'm paying 26K for a 2006 with about 150 hours, with no loader (but the cab, of course). It's in "like new" condition. The loader is running me another $5700. It is what it is. I have looked for other used tractors with similar attributes: HP, Cab, low hours, and there really aren't any. Up in, in the soon-to-be-frozen North, Cab tractors sell fast, others don't.
