Thanks, she is a beaut. The dealer is giving me a pretty good trade for it, and there is a great market for old tractors here.
I found a link at one of the vintage tractor sites where this fella chronicled his motor rebuilding experience....holy crap, what a job.
I'll miss her, for sure, but I'd put money on it now that when I'm on the seat of my new machine, those feelings will quickly fade away.

Maybe. I've had my Chevy Z71 now for almost 4 years and I still miss my old pickup with the straight 6 and the three speed. Of course I met and dated my wife with it, and it took care of my family for 10 years. If I was to do it over, the old beast would be parked under a tree around here with farm tags and used occasionally to haul something like gravel or compost.
Well, wherever your old tractor goes, it will likely be appreciated. Not so sure about my old green beast. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
