My cub cadet LTX 1040 will crank over but not run

I need help, my cub cadet LTX 1040 will crank but will not run. I was backing up, and my son left a rake in the yard, the mower rolled up the rake and came down hard and the mower just shut off. I tried starting it, the engine would crank but not run. The mower is 3 year old with just over a 100 hours on it. I've looked underneath and can't find any wires that are loose or anything disconnected. The only thing I see that may be a problem is the linkage arm from the forward - neutral - reverse lever going to the transmission area, seems to be alittle bent, it's hard to shift it into forward now. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
