Finally. I have had the tractor since May 31 but had to wait for the backhoe until that 2nd shipment of CK's came in. My dealer, great guys, picked up the tractor a few days ago and brought it back today. The cool thing about it was when I order my CK, the dealer was not exactly sure of the price for the backhoe. I had forgotten all about that. So in addition to the backhoe he also handed me a check for $400. I sort of felt like Santa was paying me to take his toys. Ho-ho-ho.

It has the 16" bucket. They are ordering me a 9" too. It does take a little bit of the ground clearance though.

Here are the controls. Seat is very comfortable and controls are easy to reach and use. Have not dug a hole yet, it was delivered in the early evening and, even though it is amazingly quite, I did not want to get the neighbors torked off at me. But Saturday morning I'll be digging something up.

DieselID,

Good point. I went and took a closer look. The 3PT hitch arms were sitting right on top of the BH frame. About an 1" sticks outside and that left them about 3 inches inside of the outer edge of the foot rest. It seemed pretty safe. I did some experimenting and found I was easily able to slide them inside the frame. However that is leaving the right arm pretty close to one of the hydraulic hoses. I'll play with it some more and see if just taking them out is the wisest approach.

RollerSkate.

Do you know if the front subframe bracket would interfere with a MMM?

I leave my 3ph in the full up position. It is completely clear there.

I set the 3PT almost all the way up and it is nicely out of the way of everything. I'll have some pictures shortly. This first weekend I knocked of 3 projects I have just been waiting for the backhoe for.

The dealer I used was Campbell Services, Bridgewater, CT. I think I spent around $17,500. I know Campbell's has both manual and HST's right now. They had both on display this past weekend at the Bridgewater Fair. Don't know if they were already sold or not though. I have the 16" bucket but they are ordering my a 9" also. Not sure about $$$ on the 9" though. I have a number of little things to do: replace some railroad ties; run some underground wire; replace some cracked 4" runoff pipe and put in a few fence posts. A 9" bucket may not be the right tool for everthing but it seemed like a versatile alternative.

It's been a while since you got your new backhoe, and I was wondering, how well is it working? Do you have any new pics while out having fun with it? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
