I sealed the deal with Messick's this morning - my BX2230 will be here by mid next week. Of course I bought a tractor during the busiest time of the year, so now I have to wait through about a one week backlog in their set-up shop.
Here's what's on its way:
BX2230, 60" MMM, FEL w/Woods tooth bar, Bar tires, Woods Box Blade
Total including PA sales tax and UCC fees (state and county) $13,758.80. Before tax total is $12,980.
The best deal I could get on a JD2210 with FEL and 62MMM was $13,300 without the tooth bar and box blade, and before tax. JD also does not offer 0% financing for 3 years, so tack on a bunch of interest to finance it as well. I just could not justify the price difference. Besides, after looking at both, I am convinced that the Kubota is at least as well built as the JD, and probably better engineered in some ways.
Thanks to all who answered the questions I had, they won't be the last I'm sure.
