"My biggest fear is that when I'm gone my wife will sell all my tractor gear for what I said I paid for it. "
Shaley's line sent a shiver up my spine. By golly she just might do something like that. Even worse think about all the great stuff she will almost surely throw out when you are gone.

I told my wife that when I pass, she must get help in disposing of my tools. Hopefully this day is many moons away and my daugther (now 16 months) and /or any future offspring / sons in law will have an appreciation for my stuff.

If my wife ever did an inventory & added up how much all my tools cost, she'd probably divorce me. I probably should do an inventory in the event that someone robs the house...:(

That reminds me of a funny story about my mom.
Dad always told mom that no one was allowed to borrow his tools when he wasn't home.
Well a relative asked my dad about borrowing his car trailer which dad said was fine. He told mom about it so when the relative came to pick it up. The relative showed up to pick up the trailer. He needed a wrench to change the ball setup on his truck to pull the trailer and asked mom about using one. Her response was sorry I can't loan his tools out while he's not home. I almost fell down I was laughing so hard. The poor relative headed back to the truck and trailer with a puzzled look on his face, almost to say "You trust me with a couple thousand dollar trailer but not with a $20 wrench!!!!!". :D :D
We still tease mom about that to this day.

My wife said she's going to sell it all and use the money to pay someone to do the yard work for her. I told her that was fine. :)

Hey, this is a funny thread:D

Trying to imagine what would happen with my junk - i quess it would stay in the shop till my son is old enough to mess with it. But I sure would be lurking around trying to finish all my projects.

I was wondering where the heck you get all this valuable info from so quick. I couldn't even find this image on google. But, with you being a shipping clerk, I reckon I know what you're shipping..........

Took an extra day, but I found exactly what was requested.. Hearse pulling a U-Haul...

That very same thought raced through my pea-sized brain a few years back. So I developed a plan. Since we never know when it's going to be "our time to go", it seemed logical to deal with things now. I keep a running list of my junk...er....toys....uh....stuff. I have a favorite auctioneer that's aware of the values of what I own. He's on a short list for the Mrs. to contact. Also, my son and my best friend are aware of my wishes. They'll step in and make sure nothing goes away too cheap. Every time I spend time getting overly prepared for a big event, it never happens. I'm hoping that hold true for a long while.

The final part of the master plan? I married a true capitalist. I'm sure she'll get more out of my stuff than I would.

Been waiting for an opening to tell about a local radio commercial and this seems appropriate. I often listen to a station from a nearby small town. The station runs spots for local businesses, and since there are larger metropolitan shopping areas fairly close by, each spot is followed by a chorus that sounds like the entire station crew shouting "Shop At Home!!!" Nice thought, and a good feature for these home grown commercials, but they seem to have it on automatic pilot. Sounds kind of funny following the local funeral home commercial. Maybe they bring the auction to the funeral?
