looking at renting a notill drill to put in some winter pasture.my tractor salesmen is looking into a 6ft 3pt notill drill since he wants me to pull it with the MX5100.will it be to heavy for the tractor to lift.i was thinking of an 8 or 10ft pull type no till drill.i can rent any notill drill i want for $10ac.

There's a Landpride 72" model that specs out at 1038#... maybe that's fairly similar to what you'd be renting? I'd expect your MX would handle that OK, but you'd probably want to keep the FEL on as counterweight.

I am not sure a 5100 would pull a 10', we have a 10' Great Plains and they are heavy and take quite a bit to pull, we used 4WD 70-80 HP; haven't used it in a while.
