Well I just got sick of waiting for the snow to come, so the blower is off and the backhoe is on for some field rock removal. During one bout of cabin fever, a Tel-Trax canopy was added. Nice rugged unit. Mounted it low so it would clear the door openings around here - plenty of headroom except when standing.

Now it will snow..../w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Looks like your a good month ahead of us up here..still in mud season and haven't seen a Robin yet.

Robins came visiting today here in Southern New Hampshire. Sure sign of spring./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Frost is out of the ground and with it being so mild and with so little rain, no mud!
YES THOMAS! NO MUD!! It's weird!!
First time I can recall where you can walk or drive in the fields and not get stuck, lose a boot or at least spin the wheels.
Drove my truck out to some beehives today without leaving a rut.
Normal year, I'd hoof out to them. Weather report tonight said second driest winter on record.

Dry is not the word for it. We are going to be in big trouble in PA if we don't get some rain this spring. We just got about 2 inches of snow this afternoon. Should all soak in when it melts. My wife said it would be overkill for me to plow it. Party Pooper she is. New tractor, and no snow means no fun. I guess I'll wait for gardening, and grass mowing.

THOMAS same down here in western ny. very wet ground, but not had a lot of rain, seems like the ground never froze solid, have some major grading work to do from the installation of new septic system last fall. but no sense in even trying it now. all mud. but i am chomping at the bit. can't even really get the yard cleaned up yet. i hate this time of year/w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif

Very little frost in the ground in western MA - there's a 3" layer about 4" below the sod - but it's too dry to be tough. I think our wells are going to be in trouble later if we don't get some water pretty soon. There's very little mud - just loose enough that I'm pulling rocks out bigger than my rig would normally move without more digging around them. Strange year - but may as well take advantage of it.

Very dry here in the Shenandoah Valley of VA. No snow very little rain. I bought a rear blade and darn if that didn't scare the snow away. We have at least thus far have had a average amount of rain in March, maybe at least the mowing season will be good. The tractor has been bored this winter not to mention the operator is getting anzy/w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif

Well spring is already here in North Texas. Woooohoooo more tractor time. Tilled several gardens for neighbors, did some lawn leveling, and mowed with the tractor this time. Will be planting bean, squash etc. later this week. Lil bota was the best thing I ever purchased.

Also tilled my garden and a neighbor's this past weekend. Took a bet that there will not be any more killer frosts and set out tomato plants and a few other things - just couldn't stand to wait any longer. I've tilled the garden THREE times over the past couple of weeks just 'cause I wanted to play!
The grass is greening up really fast here in S. Louisiana. Can't wait to get into the weekly mowing routine!
