Murray Recall

Heard on the news last night: Murray is recalling about 96000 lawn tractors. Doesn't affect me but thought I'd post it.

Oh dear, oh my, what will suburbia do with the universe's best dang lawnmower "RECALLED"--------egads! Are the Tecumsahs throwing rods and impalling passerbys?

Recalling the tractors for repair or parts replacement? How in Sam Hill are they going to manage that program? Might be cheaper for them to just hand out new mowers instead /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif !!!

I think it was something about the gas tanks developing cracks and then catching fire.

...I'll apologize before I'm asked to. I just couldn't help myself. Every machine has its proper uses and even I have relied on a Lowes/MTD to cut grass when I had a little less than an acre to take care of. My 12HP, 42" cut cost me nothing but oil changes, belts and blades for ten years.

It will be interesting to find out how they will take care of ---- 96,000 mowers! Wow /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif !

Well, at least it was nothing important./w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif. No realy. The Murrays have there place. I would buy one of them before I would buy some of the MTD stuff out there. My problem is I use my stuff hard. One of those murrays would last a week with me. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif Now parden me. I have to go rip out some tree stumps with my Ingersoll. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
