Mulching Kit Question re. 60\" MMM Deck on BX
I recently purchased the Kubota mulching kit for the 60" MMM deck. When I went to install it, it was pretty obvious that the left plate (non-discharge side) of the two-piece baffle kit did not fit correctly. There is a gap of about 3 inches between the front-outer mounting plate and the deck front. Everything else lines up correctly on both plates (both side wall mounts and the mounting plates through the top of the deck). In reviewing the installation instructions (always a good idea), there's a cryptic note that "For some RCK60 mower decks, the Left Baffle Kit (P/N 70000-02507) may be required to complete mulching kit installation."
My dealer isn't able to find a picture or any other information on this additional part, although it is listed in the Kubota parts book at the price of an additional $71 over the over original $228 cost of the mulching kit itself.
Does anyone know:
1. What this part looks like?
2. How do I tell whether I need it or not for my particular deck; and/or,
3. If you've run into this, any installation tips or suggestions.
I find it odd that some 60" decks are different than others to the tune of paying $310 v. $230 for the same mulching kit.
