Muhammad\'s got an indestructible tractor!!

Has anyone but me noticed that Muhammad never posts with problems with his tractor? Doesnt anyone think this is odd?
I have to conclude therefore that Muhammad has the only indestuctible, non-wearing, self-maintaining, self fixing tractor which also never breaks down /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

So Muhammad how does one come across these special tractors? Is it a secret amoung moderators (Birds tractor also never breaks down, it is though my understanding he doesnt have one so that may not entirely count /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif)
Or maybe he is so vastly knowlegable that he needs not ask if he has any issues with his tractor or that the tractor has been fitted with a voicebox so that it can describe its rare ailments in such detail that they can be easily fixed?
Possibly he dripfeeds warmed milk and brandy through its air filter to solve all its woes?

Mith; Well, I'll just bet his is a tractor of many colours. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif He most likely took the best of all brands, and combined them in one. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Sorta like a F350 truck, with a Cummins diesel, and Allison trans. I'd bet he just trades 'em in when they git dirty, keeps down on the maintainence costs, don't you know. The royalties of the book sales and the IRS deductions probably cover the loss in value. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Jim, when I did have a tractor, I did experience a few relatively minor problems. The '95 B7100 front end loader tended to gradually lower and dump, on its own, even with the engine running. The dealer first tried new seals in the hydraulic cylinders, with no improvement, thought it might be the control valves, but that checked out good, finally replaced all four cylinders on the front end loader and fixed the problem. After two or three years, the plastic fuel tank developed a tiny crack and leak in the botton right where one of the metal retaining straps went around it. The dealer did not have one in stock, would have had to order it, and it cost about $80, so I removed the tank and fixed it with JB Weld that held for well over a year. It had just started to leak again when I traded it in on the '99 B2710. I told the salesman about it before the trade and he said, "No problem." So I don't know whether they patched it again or whether they replaced it before selling it again. A couple of times when tilling, and I started to raise the 3-point, it didn't raise, but I found that was because the FEL valve was not exactly centered; all I had to do was wiggle the joystick a bit and everything was OK. the only other problem was when I got lots of water in the fuel, so that wasn't the tractor's fault. I quickly got a little experience in cleaning fuel tank and lines and bleeding the lines and injectors.

Then, of course I had just a couple of minor problems with the '99 B2710. The first one, while it was still new, proved that it wasn't idiot proof. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif It would start and run fine when cold, but when I shut it down after it was warmed up and then restarted it, it would just start and immediately die, sometimes 3 or 4 times before it would start and keep running. I even called the dealer to ask about that and he had no idea. And then after a week or two, one day when it started and promptly died, I noticed the lights didn't come back on in the instrument panel; a clue finally. I was turning the key completely loose instantly when it fired, and the ignition switch spring was strong enough, it was snapping the key all the way back to off. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Talk about feeling like an idiot! Then one day, while mowing the yard, it threw the fan belt, and chewed it up pretty bad. The dealer didn't have one in stock, but Pep Boys Auto Parts store matched it for size. I put the new belt on and never had anymore problem with it; don't know whether the original was not tightened properly, was just defective or what caused it. The tractor also later developed a rattle that I thought was the front drive shaft (or as they call it, the "propeller shaft"). The dealer disassembled and reassembled it, under warranty, without finding anything wrong, but it fixed the rattle.

Now of course, I had Kubotas, so you aren't supposed to have any problems. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif And of course, over the years, I did have a little experience with a few little problems with the 1940 John Deere we had when I was a kid, and with the neighbors' tractors, like one neighbor's 30 year old Oliver and his three even older Farmalls. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
