MTD Split it log splitter

Hello, I had the cylinder blow out and replaced it with a non spring loaded return cylinder is the control valve on the splitter a two way or just a 1 way directional valve?

Most log splitter vales have fwd, neutral and a detented return.

if it is a spring return cylinder type splitter, like the small electric ones, it is a one way control valve, and if connected to a two way cylinder will not self return.
