MT235he Safety Switch in Seat - how to eliminate?

This is not due to the nanny state, but the sue state. They have to put a switch to stop stupid people from being hurt and suing them. But I agree, you have to be able to run the PTO from the ground at times.
I just purchased a used lift. The manual lists more than 60 warning decals on the outside of it.

any safety device that you delete, is on you if someone gets hurt or killed.

I killed mine on my 125 by twisting the wires under the seat together, throwing on a wire nut, wrapping in electrical tape, and putting back under seat. I don't mow with mine, and its an HST, so I don't worry about getting run over if I fall off...

You're not getting the picture here. If he stands up the tractor shuts down. So how is he going to adjust anything with no hydraulics?

I had the same problem with mine until I disabled the switch. Can't see the forks without standing up, can't run a PTO powered chipper - what the ****?? How many years were tractors made without this safety nanny - and those of us who used some common sense survived just fine!

All my gear and HST tractors over the years allowed getting off seat in neutral with PTO off. Didn't realize some didn't. Current Kubota has a dedicated bypass switch for things like a chipper.

How about a momentary switch for a jumper? Wire it in and place it in a convenient spot so that he can hold the switch (or push button) while standing to jump the seat switch otherwise it functions as intended. Could be as simple as using a winch remote that could be plugged in and held in his hand when he's doing work like that and unplugged and stowed away when not.

In days long ago, in a long day with big fields, we would stand up on the tractor while driving to give our back end a rest. But we didn't have seat belts in cars then.
