Does anyone have the specs on the ground clearance for the MT125 and XJ2025? Was set on the MT but when I went to buy it the XJ2025 drew me in. I知 still not sure if I can justify the cost difference but trying to persuade myself with a comparison chart and this seems to be the only thing I can find(maybe I didn稚 look hard enough). Most of my property is heavily tree and relatively flat. I will be using the machine to lay footings, dig trenches, move stone and mulch, and moved the occasional downed tree. I will also be clearing out trails (10 feet wide) for the kids to ride through. Any feedback on which to buy is appreciated as well!

The ground clearance on the MT125 is 6.7 inches. This includes when the BH is on. I had the clearance numbers on the XJ from when I was shopping, but can't find them now. As I recall, the XJ was about 2" higher, but that did not include the subframe, which lowered it to the same height / clearance when it was on. The hydraulic power is basically the same ( 6.7 gpm for the MT's, 6.9 gpm for the XJ). BH specs are relatively the same, loader capacity is higher on the XJ.

You really don't see a dramatic increase in specs until you jump up to the XG 3025 (now the MT225E). I'm not sure of the prices your getting on the XJ, but the difference between them (2025 vs. 225E) shouldn't be much.

There are rumors that LS will be discontinuing the XJ2025, but those are rumors at this time....

Good luck with your decision, it's a tough one....

When we bought the XJ , the larger rear tires were a plus for us for getting around the rough ground in the creek flats. That plus the wife likes the fact that the back hoe had a separate seat -so that the main tractor seat fit her better. The little MT is a real nice rig though so if it fits the bill, you would do well with one. I don't have the hoe on right now, but the front support brackets are just over 10" clearance and the rear generally that too sans the bottom of the draw bar bracket which is 9".
