While cleaning the tractor, I found that the hydraulic hose cover on the FEL crossmember was actually cutting into the hoses on both sides! Glad I found the cuts early before a hose really cut deep or burst. The fix was easy, about a 4" piece of 5/8 heater hose fit perfectly around the hoses. Cut them longitudinal, then slipped over the hydraulic hose. I also noticed the left side power steering hose sits right on top of the axle, near a fill cap. (Don't know why the cap is there, you can't get access to use it). The hose is much heavier, but I still put the additional protection on it too. So now I really started looking closely to where things were routed. Found the fuel return line was pinched between the sheet metal under the seat and the frame. One good tug and it was free, but...

Very interesting!! When I go out to the shop tomorrow I will give mine a good look over. I'll report back on what I find so we can compare notes. Thanks for the post.:thumbsup:

Just went out and inspected my MT125 and there are no issues with my tractor hoses. On the steering hoses to the cylinder I saw the blue fill cap you talked about but the main fitting that comes out of the steering cylinder is at a 45 degree angle and routes the hose away from the cap to the little hose retainer that is on the frame. On the right side again the fitting out of the cylinder is at a 45 degree turned out and aims the hose toward the little frame mounted hose retainer. So no issue there on my machine. Now on the FEL hoses where they go into the right lift arm, well I don't have an issue there and I think I have reaimed those hoses through the metal ring. To expand on that more, the four hoses with their cover were rubbing against the hood. I worked and worked on moving them until I moved the retaining ring and even bent it up to keep the hoses off the hood through the full range of motion. This inturn has almost created slack on those hoses where they go through the right frame lift arm with no abrasion. But I do appreciate the warning and it's something to be aware of.
