LS MT125 Loader/Backhoe John Deere Sabre Lawn tractor w/Snow Blade
While I'm still waiting for my new tractor to be delivered I have read there is limited clearance between the crankcase drain plug and the front axle. This creates the problem of getting the drain plug completely out to drain the oil. Is this an issue? Just thought I would ask the question.

Yes there was an issue with the original tractors that came off the line at the beginning of the year. LS did send a new style low profile drain plug that uses an Allen (hex) wrench. When you get the tractor, just look under at the drain. It should be a very flat drain. There were a few other minor fixes on the first early models, your should have the corrections already done from the factory. Did you get the TLB or just the loader?

I bought the TLB and can't wait to get it. But Christmas is a little while away. I bought this from a high volume dealer so hopefully I'm getting one with the latest mods. Money's gone and I'm just waiting for delivery. Just too excited.............. :cool2:

The only "fix" you may not get is for the 3 point hitch. There is a fix, but information from LS is that the parts for the fix are currently being shipped from Korea. (Hopefully not a slow boat from China) (sorry couldn't resist). Anyway, switching to the 3 pt after removing the BH is a PIA. Look at rider 7767 posts about the backhoe fix that he did. (Major modification to 3 point hitch) LS did have a video of the fix, but it was taken down because it is not "official" yet. I spoke with my dealer in Colorado and he did confirm with the regional rep that the fix is on the way.

When I bought mine from Bruno's. They had already fixed the drain plug issue and left the old one in my tool box.

Thanks "rider7767" for the information. I'm sure they will do the drain plug fix for me then too. I've also seen the fix that you did and even the part two. Being I don't have any "three point" attachments yet this is not a big concern to me but I'm sure this will be in my future too.

Thanks again,
Lisa
