I have recently come into possession of two small diesel tractors. One is an MT 160 D,((operational) with a hydraulic plow and cab. The other is a Yanmar Y 155 d, it runs but needs ahead gasket.
i am interested to find out if there are any interchangable attachments(FEL, buckets, backhoe , bush hog, mower deck etc.) that could be used on both machines with as little modifications as possible. Iwould apprieciate any feedback. Thanks Mike

Back blade and bush hog, anything 3 point mounted should fit that order.
Maybe even a snow blower.

FEL are too specific to be interchangeable as would be back hoes unless 3 point mounted. Most if not all do not like 3 point but prefer frame mounted back hoes hence the difficulty of interchange.

The MT160 is a nice well made machine, I know as I have a MT 180D and it came with a Schwartz FEL which thinks that it is a skid steer. LOL.

U R lucky to have a cab, my ride was open air so I fabricated my own cab and it has stood the test of time being about 8 yrs old now.

Welcome to TBN, it is a great site.

If the tractors are of similar size, certain portions of a loader and hoe could be interchangeable. But not in their entirety. I'll use as an example the 70A loader on my Deere. It was used on various Deere tractor models. Same with the 7 backhoe which also was found on numerous different models. How Deere made them work on different tractors came down to the attachment pieces. My 855 uses different brackets than a Deere from another series which means that even though it's a 70A loader, it won't go straight on that other tractor. The good news is if I find the proper brackets I should be able to interchange between different models.

Now for the less common tractors like my Beaver and other similar machines, we aren't exactly in luck there. You might find a loader with the arms of a good size to match your tractor but have to fabricate everything to attach it to your specific tractor including maybe the masts as well as means to tap in to your hydro system.

Backhoes I'll guess are pretty similar in that limitation. I would never use a 3pt hoe on my Beaver. There are 4 10mm bolts attaching the lower 3pt pins to the casing. They aren't exactly heavy bolts and I wouldn't care for the stress presented by a hoe on those four small bolts. Our Blackhawk hoe has a saddle that replaces the 3pt mount and bolts up/down the case with higher grade bolts. They work because the load is spread out.

Basically unless you happen across used pieces meant just for your tractor, your best bet is to find something similar and adapt it, followed by fabrication from scratch.
