I was wondering if anyone can give me advice on what is leaking and what I would need to do to fix it. The dealer is an hour away and I have to pay to have it picked up and delivered so rather fix it myself. Capture.JPG

Looks like the upper and / or lower pivot seals. First clean it up real good, then see where it is coming from. With the dirt on it like that, it will seep throughout the dirt, making it hard to pinpoint. A time consuming job at the least, needing careful reassembly of all the internal gears and seals. You can YouTube replacing tractor front axle seals to get an idea what you are in for.

A question... is the tractor still under 2 years old? If it is, it is covered under the two year bumper to bumper warranty.

Mine too, but just a wet area, not dripping on the ground.

Haven't determined the cause yet. I think my guy told me it was under the drive train warranty.

Not looking forward to sending it off, but with the rear axle leak, I might have to.

I got under the tractor and found the drain plug which was falling out and very loose. I tightened it and clean the area but I'm pretty sure it's fixed. Glad it wasn't the seals since I dreaded the idea of sending off my tractor for repairs. I only have 122 hours on the machine and in that time -

1. Welds on rim failed and it took LS almost 2 weeks to send out a new rim.

2. The pedals that control front and rear movement stopped working. A pin came out.

3. Loose drain plug on axle.

4. Seat is ripped in the corner.

5. Quick release bolts fell out.

It's a great machine but lots of little BS things. Also, the dealer network isn't like Kabota - I guess that is why a Kubota is 6k more.

Well, these are the two posts:

But I just realized I didn't finish them out with a fix. Once I got the pin back in the second time, I found a bolt small enough to slide through it (#4, #6 maybe) and put a larger washer on the top and bottom, then a nut with locktite. There's really no way then pin should be able to fall out again as long as the bolt/nut holds.

Yeah, there are lots of little things that go wrong. These machines experience a lot of vibrations, jarring, torque, etc. Things come loose, and seems like the factory hates locktite.

I preform a walk around at least every month, with a few wrenches and just nut and bolt everything. Looking for leaks, broken crap, etc. and fix or tighten it before things get out of hand. You cannot find everything, like a loose drain plug, but you may see the leaking oil (like you did) and fixed the issue before the plug fell out, out in the field. I also blow out the radiator and air filters during this time. Simple things.

I should note, that I also preform a walk about while the tractor warms up, every time I start it. But I dont have any tools with me unless I see something that needs fixing. I check the oils and just do a visual.

No kidding about little things going wring but overall the tractor has been great. I will take your advice and start doing the walk around etc.

Sounds like you also need to slow down a little.... take a little more time, be careful. If not, you will continue to break things.

I put 220 hours on my 125, in just two years. I was working it very hard for at least 175 of those hours, and I mean pushing it to its limits and probably a little harder.... when I sold it, it looked and performed like it just came from the dealer. Basically got what I paid for it.

Being careless, fast, whatever you want to call it, will just beat up the machine and possibly kill you! Think about what you are doing and what the outcome will be...

Ok, I am off my soapbox....
