Mrwurm, Don\'t care what your wife says, your ok

I tried out your idea of rolling the bucket forward and I just have to let you know it worked great. I have always had trouble setting my loader even on a flat surface after a while the bucket would roll back and pressure would develope on my lines and I would not be able to get them hooked back up. It was a real pain in the a$$ to get hooked back. With the bucket rolled forward not only does the bucket not roll, it is just plain easy to drive into and connect back up.

So if your wife ever says anything bad I don't care, you had a great idea!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here is Mrwurms pic for those of you that didn't see it

Re: Mrwurm, Don\'t care what your wife says, your ok

I had the reconnect problem once - it was a real issue to deal with! I could not connect the quick disconnect until I relieved the pressure but lifting and blocking - what a pain.

Are you telling us that those front cylinders are in a nuetral position in the photo? Meaning not under pressure?

Obviously that must be the case or else you would have issue reconnecting the disconnects.

Does it work well every time?

I have had the problem you describe (that is the bucket tilting after disconnect causing pressure in the lines).

Aaawwww Geesh Murph! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Now you're gonna go and make Jerry get an even bigger head than he already has! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

He'll brag on this for MONTHS! He won't let us forget What A Great Idea HE Had!. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I mean sure, it was a great idea! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I admit it.

But you don't tell HIM that. You quietly say, "Gee Jer, I tried that idea of yours, and although I can see some real potential in it, I think it may need a little tweaking to make it really work well for me. But thanks anyway. I do appreciate your thinking of me."

See? By saying it that way, you're helping to keep our buddy Jerry that same old, humble, what-a-nice kind of guy that we've all grown to love. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Well, that's just great ! But, I must admit that I tried that technique based on posts from other TBN'ers. (Was'nt my idea)

(My wife does say allot of things about me. Seems the news is travel'n)

Garry, I DO NOT HAVE A BIG HEAD.

It is proportionate to my tractor.

See photo.

Re: Mrwurm, Don\'t care what your wife says, your ok

I guess the way I see it is the bucket can't move even on soft ground. That was my problem the bucket was sinking after a week or so and the front of the bucket wasn't and just pushing up trying to do a roll back. I actually was about to cry one time because I couldn't get the hoses on. I was applying pressure to the ends as hard as I could and could not get the pressure to release.

Anyway I have done it twice now and it has worked great both times other than you really have to line it up when driving in. With the bucket flat I could push one side or the other with my foot to line it up after driving in, now I can't. but that is why it stays where it is when driving in because the bucket is pointing down and won't move as easy with it flat.

Re: Mrwurm, Don\'t care what your wife says, your ok

Last time I attached my loader I had one hose that would not connect. I relieved the pressure by putting a rag over the end of the quick-connect and gave it a little tap with a hammer. Quick and easy.

Disclaimer: The above mentioned idea was gleened from another TBN'er. I have long since forgottten who.

Warning! Philosophical comment!
Quick-connects, much like other things (and people) in life all respond to a little tap with a hammer.

WOW Jerry!

Your head is huge - I mean really frigging big!

Cool Picture /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You are really talented with the graphics --- oops!

Better not tell you that - Your Head might grow proportionately to meet the size of a 4 wheel drive articulating unit.
