Hi

I know this is not the right place but I was considering a BX2660 for mowing, and then drove a Kubota ZD 326. As I really did not need a tractor (I already have one with tiller, rotory mower, snowblower, FEL, and rear blade) , the zero turn seemed just right for my mowing only needs.

My questions

Is there a site for mowers like the ZD where I could get some info?

Anyone here have any information on the ZD 326?

Thanks

Bob

Don't know about ZD's but for alot more money you need to check out the F models.

Hi Bob, Welcome. Check out the lawn and garden forum on this site. There is a lot of mower talk there.

I'd recommend a BX1860 over either the ZD 326 or the BX2660 .
Another excellent choice would be a used BX1500.

I recently bought a tractor (B2920) and a zero turn mower. Initially, I was going to get the tractor with a 60 inch mower, either mmm or rear. I did quite a bit of research and decided 2 separate units would be best for me. I was fortunate to find a deal on a new SCAG. From everything I've found, they are pretty much bullet-proof, even from a commercial standpoint. Mine is a Scag Tiger Cat, with a 48 inch deck and 19hp kaw. I can get around and between the trees and bushes, and on flat open areas you can really mow with some speed. A good internet site to go to is Lawnsite.com. A lot of pros there and a lot of talk about mowing equipment. Good Luck.

If you have the tractor, the ZTR is the way to go. I am fortunate to have a tractor and a ZTR. I mowed for years with a Bx, and it was a fine mower, but there is no comparision for mowing efficiency. as long as you terrain will allow you to use a Z.

Lawnsite is an informative place, but much of the advice comes from commercial mowers. There seem to be down on the Kubotas because of the cost and the weight. I have a commercial Toro, and I like it, but if I could have managed another $4,000, I would have bought the Kubota.

Wellm:)for what it's worth, I own two tractors and a zero turn Ferris IS3000 61 inch cut. It is a very reliable machine, had it for 5 years now with no problems. I mow approx. 6 acres in about 2 hours. It has independent suspension all around.

I agree with all the posts saying the zero turns would be a great choice, why would anyone want another tractor when you want to cut grass? Except LB of course.
John Thomas has one the expensive 4wd zero turns and knowing what he has had in the past(about 10 Kubotas more or less) he knows what he's talking about. If I had the coin I would get the same 4wd zero turn for myself and keep my BX1830 for other chores.
Good luck finding what you need

I don't have a zero turn. I have a F2680E that is not the 4WD model. It has a steering wheel, and a 6' deck out in front of it so I can see where it's cutting very clear and it will haul butt if one wants to, but the ground isn't smooth enough to reach it's mazimum speed so even if a zero turn specs show they will go 2 tenths of a mph faster, I don't care and have never driven the F at full speed. With the barometric pressure and full speed will bring instant nose bleed on it.:) BX25 is the tenth and last one.
