mower deck

I have a mower deck on my 420 that needs maintance. I just left the JD shop and they are scary high on bearing replacements. So does anyone have the bearing cross reference for the blade spindles? I am hoping the gear box on the deck isnt damaged but I am afraid that it is. My son managed to run over alot of stuff in the yard the other night and now it is making some racket.

does anyone have a diagram that I can reference for my parts. JD wasnt going to provide any extra info other than what I asked and they needed the serial number for my 5' deck before they would give any information and I'm not sure it is still riveted to the deck I will have to check when I get home.

Copy and Paste:

When you go to JDParts, instead of doing a model search, click on "Catalog Number Search".
1. Then in the blank field, type in 2797, which is the Product Identification catalog.
2. Click on the "Alphetical Search" and then scrolled down to the "M's".
3. Click on the "M" and then scrolled down to "MOWERS, ATTACHMENT ROTARY (MID MOUNT)". Click on the first one and then under the DESCRIPTION you will see the tractors listed. Just find the tractor you want, i.e. 420 and then look for the deck size you need under "MODEL #". You can click on the left arrow if you want to go back one page and the right arrow if you need to go to the next page.
4. When you find it, look under PC/MPC NO. and see what PC it is.
5. Then under the "Catalog Number Search" again, type that PC number in and you have it.
