Mowing Mower Deck clearance BX2200 with Bar tires

I just reattatched my mower deck today after doing some front loader work. When I took the deck off I switcked to Bar tires for better traction. Now I notice that after reattatching the deck with the Bar tires still on that there seems to be very little clearance between the deck and right tire (maybee 1/8 inch) with the deck in the raised position. Is this normal with Bar tires??..didn't notice this with my turf tires. Is this normal???..if not how do I adjust???????? Seems OK in down (cutting)position.

It will be very close with the deck full up, with the deck in the locked position it should allow clearence. J

My 2200 has limited clearance but it won't hit the tires unless you have a bit of mud on them!

I had this same problem...I kept the MMM from my BX2200 when I traded up to the BX-22. When I put the deck on for the first time, I couldn't raise it all the way without being in contact with the tires. (Not a good thing) I had to readjust the front linkage to pull the MMM forward, but 1/8" to 1/4" is about as far away as you can get. I'll be asking my dealer technician about this when I schedule my 50 hour service next week.

I had my BX2200 at the dealer last week for this. My right bar tire was hitting the deck in the TOP position. They thought the lift arms were bad and ordered new and put those on today. Not fixed! They were able to move it forward about 1/4 inch by adjusting what looked to me like a series of 3 gold nuts on a long rod (18-20 inches) that extends from the deck area to the upper right corner of the rear PTO assembly. Hopes this helps!

Yea, I'm going to have the technician look at mine when he's out for the 50 hour service in the next two weeks. (Ok, I "can" do the service myself, but I'm in process of renovating our kitchen and that needs to take priority right now...so I'll pay for it this time around!)

Hello,

I noticed the same thing on my BX2200. The dealer said they adjusted the deck when they took the tractor to fix a hydraulic leak. To be honest mine still comes very close and with some mud or grass on the rear bar tires it does throw it onto the MMM deck. I guess it's something we hav eto live with.

My BX-22 has the same issue. I simply raise the deck all the way up, then drop it an inch or two to keep it from rubbing the bar tires. The deck actually has enough clearance on flat ground, but as soon as I hit a bump, the right rear tire makes contact with the deck.

Hope someone finds a fix for this.

The first 50 hr service I paid to have the shop guy come out and do it. I told him I wanted to see what was done and how to do it. Tell you what, he had a few tricks that I might have learned on my own but only after a few broken knuckles and spilled fluid.
Besides, if you work on the kitchen and she is happy then you can enjoy more tractor time. Might even be worth an extra implement!
