Ok , I think I know what I need / want ,,,,,,,,, but how do you find a dealer to buy from ? A good one who will take care of and instruct a newbie , as to one that , " Have we got a fish now " type .... sell it and forget them type?
How does JD set up their Dealers ? Is it one or more as needed Distributor/ dealers and dealer from them or are they all equal but for thier money backing ? Will post more as I think ? of them , I have my heart set on a fully equiped , 5320 w/isolated operators deck , FEL 4in 1 type , Backhoe, Rototiller , PHD, Bushhog , and Back Blade. to start . Thank you for any help on this , ....

BWa,

Very simple go to Deere&Co. Choose your country (USA I'm guessing since you didn't provide any profile information). At the top of page you should see a link called Where to Buy. Choose locate a dealer and follow the instructions. It's then up to you find a dealer you're comfortable with.

More info , most of the local farm operations (Massachusetts )have not bought new , Or go to PA.for thier tractors. (Used, I am guessing , I will be getting more info A.S.A.P.)I have used JD's Dealer finder, and am wondering if it's like New Car dealers, that some are better to new and repete customers than others, finding it harder to judge , very like hear say about them .......

BWa,

But of course there is a difference between dealers. I have four JD dealers within about 35-40 mile radius. The two I have dealt with are knowledgeable and competent. Sometimes, they do not have all of the facts, but usually will get back to me if I have any questions. One seems to be a little more customer oriented and he is the one I bought my tractor from. Also, gave me the best price and had some alternatives other than JD for attachments.

Question. Why do the farmers/farm operators go to PA for their tractors. It has to be more to this story than meets the eye. Mr. Taxman??? If you don't mind traveling some, the dealer I bought my tractor from deals with customers from all parts of the country. He has sold to people in Missouri and New Jersey. Here is their link Stonehams

I you are concerned about the price on the tractor, you can find a pretty good idea of what the tractor should cost at jdlawns.com. As to all of the extras that the dealer might try to talk you into if he thinks that he can take advantage of you, these forums are likely the best defense against that happening. Just make sure that you take your time, and do not select the dealer on the cost basis alone, but also on your comfort factor and whether or not you trust the dealer to do the right thing by you.

p.s. I have a similar tractor, the 5520 with the isolated operators station, and I just love it.
