On my 5740C there are five A/C vents in the roof of my cab. Three are up by the windshield and two more are back on each side of the operator's head. The three up by the windshield blow air, but the two farther back don't blow anything. Why???

I test drove a couple other Montanas before I bought mine and the two side vents didn't blow air in those cabs either. Why are they there? More importantly, can they be made to blow cold air right at my head?

Those two vents are for return air.
If you plug off the two external intake vents on the side (outside) of the cab, you can run entirely on recirculated air inside the cab.
You probably could change the inside vents around, but it would take some fairly major ducting work. Take the six (four?) bolts out of the roof cap and look at what is in there and you will see.
It would be easier and probably more effective, to add a swivel, elbow-type, extension to the three existing blower vents inside the cab.
