My 2006 4940C has hung in 1st gear. It would still go forward and backwards, but I was not able to change speeds with the main gear change. Put the tractor up on jack stands and started to pull it down. I removed the main gear change assembly from the side of the transmission. The shift forks all look good and shift rails look good also. All the roll pins are good and all I can see is that the main shift rod that connects to the shift lever has a slight bend in it. The main shift rod will not travel in and out like it should. All the gears and synchronizers look good and function like they should. I have ordered a new complete main shift assembly in hopes this will fix my shifting problem. Has anybody else had this issue before?
