Modify Pull-behind aerator to 3PH Aerator?

I've been wanting to get an aerator to run on my BX25D. I never see any 3PH core aerators available in my area on CL. I see the 48" - 50" pull behind aerators for sale, though. I wondered if getting one of those and turning it in to a mounted one would be worth the hassle. The reason I'd like it mounted is so I don't have to operate the handle to raise it up when I go over concrete. I'd just raise up the 3PH. That being said I would still leave the lever on the aerator for depth adjustment.

Anyone seen what I'm proposing or made anything like this?

I understand you are looking for a core aerator and I have no idea what type of turf grass you have, but consider the alternative of a Field Cultivator for your aerating. If soil is compacted so you have standing water after a rain the Field Cultivator will yield superior results relative to 2" cores.

I was thinking of converting mine. I thought I'd continue to tow it by the draw bar and then just rig something to the lift arms (like two sections of chain) to lift the aerator when I want to back up or go over walkways. My 3pt has position control so I won't need the wheels or lift arm. Haven't got-around-to-it yet.

I've often thought some of the small tow-behind implements could be easily converted to 3 point by temporarily fastening them to, or hanging them from, a carryall frame.

I have a Brinly tow-behind aerator and a disc harrow, also Brinly, that I've converted to use with a 3pt 2" receiver. I had used both behind my JD lawn tractor. Cut a piece of 2x2x1/4 to length, drilled a couple holes and mounted the aerator to the 2x2 and then the disc harrow to another piece of 2x2.

Added threaded rod to the aerator and disc harrow to hold down the cement block weights.
So far this set up works very well for me with my Kubota BX2370.

I have a roller that i welded cold rold pins on to make an aerator buy the thing is it was made so you can pull it like a trailer or the tongue lift up and is pinned in place and you can hook up to a three point lift pretty neat if interested I can take pics just let me know.

Can you add a hydraulic cylinder to operate the lift lever? That might be the easiest way to have towing ability and depth control from the driver seat.

That or a 12v electric linear actuator.

I converted a cheap pull-behind aerator to 3PT using some scrap steel and my beginner welding skills. I made a couple of concrete weights that fit in the tray to help weigh it down. It works real nice.
