Modern equivalent to 6.00x16 tire

I am looking for at least one tire for an old hay wagon gear that I am trying to put together for general use around the farm. There doesn't seem to be much in the modern metric tires that might fit these narrow 16" rims.
I suppose I should be looking for at least a 6 ply tire but the used tires I have run onto are all 16" low profile car tires. I'm not against replacing all four and probably should considering their age but the other three seem to be solid and are holding air.
Any suggestion? Thanks

I would guess the 215/85/R16 is very close to the 6.00" x 16".

There are several places I've found (Blue Water Tire in Michigan and another place in Wausean, Ohio, for example) that advertizes a 3 rib tractor tire that's 600x16 used for front farm 3 rib applications.

You can still get 600-16 tires for old jeeps. Do a Google search for
"600-16 Military NDT"

There are a lot of specialty tire companies that carry them. They are available in both 4 ply and 6 ply and are tube-type tires.

If you want some used tires you can look on some of the discussion boards for old jeeps. G503.com is Military Vehicles, The WWII Military Jeep, Parts, Olive Drab and All Related Things. TheCJ2Apage.com everything about the Willys CJ2A Jeep Look in the For Sale or post something in the Wanted sections on either of these boards.

why not run real 'ag' tires on it.

6-16 is a SUPER common tire.

can get it in single, dual or tri rib.. or in a multi rib. I run 6-16 multi rib 6 ply tires on my loader tractor .. works great..

Thanks for the suggestions, I will begin a search this evening at a flea market that sells used and bias tires. I was looking to go used (cheap) especially if I replace all four. 6x16 ribs at tractor supply are $99 but they are clearing out 6.5x16 for $69 with no set of four to be had. I'm not concerned in a matching look but in function, so this may be a go.
