Moderator Bird/spelling ? Byrd

Years back there use to be a moderator on here by the name of Bird , is he still around ?

Posting/quoting the complete contents of another member's PM's - which are meant to be private BTW - probably isn't a real wise idea.

It also may well be against the terms of service you agreed to abide by to use this site.

IOW: you could get sent to the corner or even banned ...

If you have an issue with another member's PM that you can't resolve with that member, the appropriate thing to do is report it to management.

Well, your statement doesn't exactly say that you can't quote private messages, and I think you are fine to question the wisdom of doing so. That said, I can't see anything in the terms of use that prohibit it (perhaps I'm missing something). In my opinion, one should assume that anything written on the internet has the potential to be quoted, copied, or reproduced with or without one's consent. Unless we are talking about copyrighted works, or other specifically agreed upon terms, anything can happen.

Perhaps the real wisdom is not to send messages publicly or privately that you don't want to be read by a larger than intended audience.
