Hello Everyone,
I have had MK Martin snowblowers for years now and they all operated flawlessly for me. Started out with a 68" snowblower with a New Holland TC34DA tractor and then about five years ago I purchased a new MK Martin SB75 (75" snowblower with a hydro chute) when I upgraded to a new JD 4520 tractor. So I visited one of my dealers the other day and he had a brand new MK Martin SB75 snowblower on his lot (just came in off the truck) with the new five blade fan and skid shoes. I looked at it and thought it had some interesting design enhancement, so I joking asked how much the new blower would be if I traded mine in, thinking it would be too much money and I am just fine with the one I have. Unfortunately, he came back with an offer of $800 (including tax and delivery) with my trade in - the new SB75 snowblower with the hydro chute is $3500 here in Buffalo NY; that made me think that it costed me $160.00 a year for the five years I have had this snowblower. I know some of you probably think I am crazy, but I took the deal. I look at it as an $800 experiment. Hopefully the five blade fan works better with the tighter tolerances and if it does, most likely I will keep it for the next twenty years. I am suppose to get it today, so I will post pictures of the old and new snowblowers later today.
