I want to fit a connection to enable me to use a tipping trailer. Where is the port that I should use on the tractor? Will I also need to fit a separate control lever for this ?

Is there a loader on the tractor? If so, you will come off the power beyond (PB) port on the loader valve. And yes, you will need a valve in the system to move the cylinder.
