missing zerk

Just completed my first 8 hr service, all was normal except for the missing zerk at the front attachment point. Apparently it vibrated out somewhere, grease was oozing out of the hole, so it looks like it was installed but not tightened.

That fitting doesn't come with a zerk, you are supposed to transfer the top rear one for lubrication time then put it back after.

Some here have ground out clearance and installed a zerk permanently in that hole. I haven't yet.

That explains it. Mine now has a zerk there.
